CHERRY PRO FROZEN YOGURT
EQUIPMENT

  • High-speed blender or food processor

  • Freezer-safe loaf pan or bowl

  • Measuring cups/spoons

INGREDIENTS

For the Frozen Yogurt Base:

  • 2 cups (approx. 500g) Non-fat or 2% Greek Yogurt (unsweetened)

  • ½ cup Liquid Sweetener (e.g., Honey, Maple Syrup, or agave)

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • 1 scoop (approx. 30g) Vanilla Protein Powder (WHEY or plant-based)

  • 1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice

  • A small pinch of salt

For the Cherry Mix-In:

  • 2 cups (approx. 300g) Fresh Cherries, pitted and halved (plus extra for garnish)

  • Optional add-in: 1 tbsp protein powder mix (e.g., vanilla or more vanilla whey) for extra protein density

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Prep the Cherries

Pit and halve all the fresh cherries. Keep a few whole or halved cherries aside for garnish. If you want extra protein, you can mix the halved cherries with a tablespoon of protein powder (the same kind used in the base) until lightly coated.

Step 2: Blend the Base

In a high-speed blender or food processor, combine the Greek yogurt, liquid sweetener, vanilla extract, protein powder, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Blend until all ingredients are completely incorporated and the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Add the Cherries

Add the pitted, halved cherries to the blender. Use the "pulse" function to fold them in. You want to lightly break them up to distribute the flavor and texture, but keep chunks of cherry intact; do not over-blend into a smooth puree.

Step 4: Transfer and Freeze

Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container, such as a loaf pan lined with parchment paper. Use a spatula to spread it evenly. Garnish the top with the reserved whole and halved cherries. For a protein boost and visual detail like the image, you can sprinkle a little extra protein powder "dust" over the top.

Step 5: Freeze Until Set

Place the container in the freezer. Let it freeze for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight, until it is completely firm. For the best, scoopable texture, take the frozen yogurt out of the freezer and let it sit on the counter for 10–15 minutes before serving.
